just started yesterday but all of a sudden im getting a gas smell in the car when i first start it up in the morning. i was working on my lawn mower sunday night beside the car and spilled some gas but its rained twice since then and woulda washed it away.

any ideas?

 

come on!!! no one has any troubleshooting ideas? it happens every morning when i crank it up and goes away about 5-7 minutes of driving.

 

Check for a fuel or an exhaust leak. Open the hood, start the engine (cold), listen and smell for the exhaust leak. You can use a foot spray, the yet is turns into a powder to check for fuel leaks. Clean and dry any suspected fuel leak areas, spray, let dry for a couple of minutes. Start the engine and look for any possible leaks. Check the fuel injectors, filter, etc.
