Good lookin car man, I love the wheels on it! I'm curious about your trans setup...did you choose the LS with the FD instead of a B16/18c for a reason? How does the gearing react with your shift points and boost/powerband? How much power does she make?
Well done sir

The gearing setup is interesting. I bought the trans with all the parts. According to Mfactory's gear calculator it puts shift points and speed/gear between a 4.4FD ITR trans and and a 4.4FD GSR trans, but with a top speed of 290km/h or 180mph @ 9000rpm with that long 5th gear.
Down in low gears feels exactly like a b16/ITR, very snappy, then progressively outputs higher top end speeds where b16/b18c tranny's fall short.
It's a very in between, best of both worlds type of feel, very streetable, but can still hang at high speed with top-end cars like Z06's and new Shelby GT500's easily.
Shift points are usually at 9000-9500 which keeps me well within power. Powerband is very manageable with VTEC set early at 4000, peak TQ is around 6500rpm and holds steady till 9000.
Motor is putting down about 400whp
Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it. I rarely post on here anymore. Nice to get some interest and feedback.

Wow thats interesting! I bet that longer 5th gear is really nice to have for the freeway when you need to beat up on those V8 guys haha. Vtec @ 4k with R cams I'm sure makes for a fat-*** powerband....this is a really cool setup you have, if I were to do a boosted motor I think it would be similar to this. Very cool stuff.
I like how you have 100+ views and I'm the only one who has commented so far haha. I bet if you had some ridiculous, wide *** wheels on here with illesthellafatlacebullshit stickers all over it you'd be gettin all kinds of comments. I can understand why you don't post often, but thanks for doing so

Thanks again.
I'm abit oldschool, I'm all about functionality, balance and driving experience. I try to portray that as much as I can while maintaining a clean and classic look. There is alot more to this car than meets the eye. Lots done to suspension and chassis to balance the power output with equal amounts of control.
I guess over 10 years of building Honda's helps you realize where your roots are.
Cheers!

I love the coupe and the wheels fit it perfectly. I wish the front mount was hidden a little better so it had more if a sleeper appeal, but regardless it looks great

As Promised here is alittle vid I put together in mid-october.
http://youtu.be/ke88owAFLrM
Simple pull from 2nd to 5th, letting off around 260km/h (160mph) due to a car coming up ahead, then @ 1:03, another pull from 3rd (which pins my head back) through 4th. QTP Exhaust-cutout is open during the vid.
***Forgive the shakeyness, I ghetto-rigged my Iphone4 to a go-pro mount and the phone and mount were not staying tight. Be sure to put it in HD for best picture and sound. But you get the idea.
Very clean car man, great taste. Your car sounds really nice as well! The LS tranny is interesting as well but I see you've done your homework, keep it up!

Thanks for the bump and the nice comments. This was last years look.
This year the car has some subtle changes, to freshen it up.
-New wheels (16x7 +44 Work RSZ-R's in standard gunmetal/polished lip).
-New suspension
-Valvecover is now a flat aluminum colour with a Spoon Ver.1 Carbon/Kevlar plug cover.
-S2000 clutch master cylinder/Checkered Sports spacer with a ChaseBays tuck clutch line.
-Still looking for a new lip. Did have a deal on a First Molding carbon lip, but my buddy got cold feet and wouldn't sell it. (As far as we know, first and ONLY First Molding EG/EJ lip in Canada).
Lots of work that nobody will see, such as a complete transmission overhaul with new gearing and Synchrotech hardened shift sleeves and carbon synchro's and a SpeedFactory shift-change holder assembly.
Along with small touch-ups in the interior.
Stay tuned, I will make a new thread when I have some new/professional shots of the car this spring/summer.
Thanks
