Default Transmission reassembly steps

Had to fix a hole in my type s transmission case, so basically took all the guts out, welded it, and putting everything back in the case. What steps do I need to follow as far as what gear to put it in, or where the shift forks need to be when reassembling? Is there only one way to put everything back together? I guess I am wondering what variables could go wrong when putting this back together....?

And how can I check that everything is back in right?

Got the helms. Followed it step by step. Didn't mention anything about noting what gear it was in when you removed anything....or to pay attention to shift fork position on reassembly. It says to reassemble everything. I know where the shift forks sit on the shaft assys, just didn't know if they need to be in a certain gear, like neutral or something when it all goes back together

Got it back together no problem. I guess I wasn't too clear on my question. I was concerned about what position the shift forks needed to be in when I but the case back together ( what gear) . But as it turns out it does not matter on assembly, since you index them all together when you reinstall the shift mechanism. Either way, all good and hopefully this helps someone down the road.
