Default Valve Cover Gasket Change now its Smoking

I just replaced my valve cover gasket, before the change it didnt smoke at all not even signs of it. but afterwards is a whole nother story. it idles and starts perfectly, and there is no odd or new engine noise(high mileage engine so it had some noises to begin with). Im at a loss for what could have caused it. Any advice on where to start looking for issues? i have to drive 30 miles to work tomorrow morning and would like to not make a smoke screen on I35.

Thanks

sounds like you answered your own question. It should burn off assuming the smoke is coming from the tail pipe.

sounds good thanks for the response. im going to wait till it gets a little darker then start her up and let it run for a while. Dont want to be smoking out the neighbors while there still awake.

Thanks

Yep, it'll clear right up in a minute if its out of the tailpipe, you are right on with why its doing it.
