Whats up guys. so i finally got my d16z6 running but just a few more little things to go.
This is where im at now, i start the car and about 15 sec later the headers start to give off a white light smoke. i think its coming from a small leak in my down tube gasket but for some reason i think its coolant. there one coolant line that i dont know if i have hooked up right, it goes from the left side of the injector on the dizzy side to right beside the thermostat housing (i think going to the block). i have pictures to show you and maybe yall could help.
Im just trying to make sure these to lines connect to each other and not putting coolant any where its not supposed to be.

also the lower radiator hose dosent get as hot (really not hot to touch at all) as the heater hose and upper radiator hose, is this normal?

Well, do you even have to keep adding coolant?

 

Don't think. Know. If it was coolant you would smell it. Are you losing coolant? Have you verified that the coolant is leaking from where you say it is? Maybe try changing out your thermostat and bleed the system of air.

 

The line dosent run into the thermostat its right beside the thermostat housing into the block. Do I have that line hooked up right?

No I don't think I'm loosing coolant, but I haven't ran it that much today. I'll be able to do better diagnostic tomorrow.
The main question tho is do I have that line hooked up right?

Also what does coolant burning smell like? Lol

 

figured out the lines are right. just trying to make sure that coolant is not getting burned. could be my damn head gasket..

 

you should do a pressure test to make sure it isnt your head gasket
