I found this 1979 Civic on my local craigslist website and i was wondering if you think it would be worth buying.. or maybe someone else in the northwest might want it.

Do you like classics? Japanese classics? There is a following for old school Japanese muscle lol. There is a site called this old honda you can find parts for older hondas.

 

I notice the ad says that the title is not in his name. Make sure the seller has a bill of sale from the person that's on the title to him. WA and ID are getting really cranky about that. The last one I purchased, I had to fill out an affidavit "telling my story" and they never told me if I was even going to get it titled. They just said, "Fill this out and we will try and check out the story."

For my CRX, I talked the guy down about $100 just because those would be the fees I'd have to pay for the signed title being over a year old.

 

Since it's local to me also, I'd buy it not caring about the title (but not let the seller know that, still talk him down because of title fees and hassle), and build a ChumpCar out of it.

Although it does look somewhat clean, I'd want to make a daily out of her too. But I;m to the point where I'd rather pay a little more for a nice rig than a cheap beater that I'd have to fix. I guess being a professional mechanic the past few years has changed my additude towards that.
