Default Exhaust Pipe, plz check pics

Hi guys,

I have been hearing sound weird sound and loss of power since several weeks.
Two days ago i went to the work shop and it seems that the rear exhaust pipe is so rusty and damaged and was not tight well to the muffler.

So we replaced that pipe by another one, by i found that a flexible part (dunno its exact name) you can see in the pic, has been removed and replaced by straight pipe.

Is it ok to keep it like that ?

Looks like they put in a newer exhaust pipe from the cat past the LCA?
Then cut the flange to your muffler which looks like its seen better days.
Not the cleanest install, but if you dont have alot of money to replace the whole exhaust.. it will do.

thx man
So i guess no issues by keeping it like that untill i can get a new whole exhaust.
BTW the car improved in a very Surprising way, as if you moved from b16 into b20.
