98 Accord EX - Brakes feel like they are pumping
Can't afford to take it to a shop. So hopefully someone here has some insight that I could use to fix this little problem.
Basically every time I apply the brake, whether I'm going 60mph or 5mph, it feels like the brake is pumping. The effect isn't dramatic or make the car un-drive-able, but it certainly is uncomfortable and I hope nothing is damaged or being damaged by driving the car like this.
The harder I press the brake the harder the pumping effect is. To be perfectly specific it feels like I'm rapidly pressing/depressing the brake when stopping, even though I'm not.
Help is extremely appreciated as I can't afford to get the car to a shop. Thanks!

probably warped rotors. Does the steering wheel shake too when you apply the brakes? If so you can take them off and get them machined and reinstall along with new front pads.
You can also just buy new rotors and pads, install them, and call it a day.
you will need basic tools and a large c clamp to compress the caliper for this job.

The steering wheel does not shake at all. I can brake to a stop without even touching the steering wheel and it will stay straight and not vibrate. To be clear, this problem literally happened overnight. It has not been a gradual thing.
It's going to be your rear brakes that are warped I would replace the rotors and pads in the rear or just the drums if they are drums.
