Default Help with VTEC solenoid

I was hooking up my VTEC solenoid and the 2 wires on the solenoid came out of the clip and is no way near to butt connect them together. Do you guys just solder it back together or is there another solution?

Solder everything that's electrical, it will save you a head ache down the road, butt connectors can fail easily and in my opinion should only be used in a pinch. If you have the time, take it. If you don't have a soldering iron, you can buy one at walmart or radioshack. I have a gas powered one that you refill, it works for me but you have to wait for it to heat up all the time because if you keep it running you burn fuel too fast. solder is cheap and found at the same places and then get shrink wrap to ensure no metal is showing, it looks the most professional and lasts the longest.

Pic. would help to know what you mean by "2 wires on the solenoid came out of the clip"???

Did you mean the two leads, [wires] broke off the terminals right at the clip? 94
