Sup guys, i have a 94 integra ls, i bought it with a bad tranny, stuck in 5th. The most obv thing was to replace it, so i did. i got a ls tranny, bought new axles , clutch and everything. After the install, the clutch was bled. We took it for a spin and noticed 4th and 5th gear is not there. we enter 4th and 5th, but it just revs... im trying to figure out if i have a bad tranny or is there something else that can be causing it. The dewd who i purchased the trans from swear everything is fine. The car runs great from 1st - 3rd. however 4th and 5th doesnt engage!! it goes into the socket but its as if its empty!..... Any ideas ?

P.S reverse works fine.

 

sounds like a bad trans. take it back or see what he will do, if it was the clutch you would have issues in all gears. Does it grind going in gear or does it go in smooth but when you release the clutch the motor just revs? double check your pass side axle for it maybe be popping out, any fluid loss?
