Default installing sunroof panel

hey guys. first of all I'm well aware of the multiple sunroof threads on here. I bought a sunroof panel from the salvage yard here locally. My issue is the entire motor/frame is also connected. Is there a way I can hook a few batteries up to it to get the sunroof to slide back so that I can properly disassemble it? 4th gen

There's a hex shaped opening in the sunroof motor. Stick an allen wrench in and turn it until the sunroof slides back

Just so anyone else looking has the answer, you can also just power the motor from a 12v source to move it. I have used wires from a battery to open a sunroof assembly before to swap panels.

^^ Yeah, it works on all window motors and is also good for testing relays. I just use my cordless drill battery. You can also use a power probe but, they're usually $100 at the cheapest.
