I have a replacement front and rear bumper I need to paint for my teg. The rest of the car is Maaco single stage Champ white. Obviously I'm not looking to drop much cash painting the bumpers when the rest of the car has a mediocre paint job.
I didn't enjoy my Maaco experience so I really don't plan to give them anymore business. I'm sure I can do a half *** paint job myself for cheaper.
So, I have found that Dupli-color and Rustoleum offer champ white paint both in the "ready to shoot" qt. Both around $20, plus the primer and clear. I realize that nothing I do will be an exact match to old, single stage paint. But at least the car would be all white again, and roughly the same shade.
Has anyone worked with either of these paints? Would either shoot better, or last longer (resist cracking and peeling, since bumpers flex) ?

I have the Dupli-color champ white, primer, and clear. For a raw plastic replacement front bumper would you use the duplicolor adhesion promoter (spray can) or something else ... or nothing?

Adhesion promoter is only for raw plastic, if your bumper has been primered or painted before just sand with 120-180, primer sand 600, then base coat... If your old paint is single stage and you use something thats a 2 part. It wont look right and will be a noticable, just get some single stage and spray that to match.
If I were to give you my professional opinion, both of the products you suggest are compleat junk and should never be sprayed on a vehical.
My Cheap opinion sure, its possible to make something that will work ok.. will it be any shades near whats on your car prob not. Will it look professional no way in hell, will it cover up the other stuff yes, will it last long prob not.

Yeah, the front bumper is new / raw. The rear is used / OEM with old paint on it.
As mentioned, I'm not prepared to repaint the whole car right now. Just looking to get all the pieces white, and not rattle can white.
I'm not too hopeful that anything will match the single stage shade for shade without being more work and $ than the project is worthy of.

honestly I would check Rattle cans as the dupli color is 50 bucks a can and you would need atleast 2 cans (base, clear.. THis does not even include primmer). check eastwood, they have single stage I think you would need atleast 1 qt at 3 layers (3mills). Your also going to need some epoxy primmer/sealer and 2k primmer (high build) and a bunch of diffrent wet and dry sandpaper. That is why I am saying to just do rattle can till you are ready to paint the whole car. Make sure to put the new bumpers on to make sure there are not modifications that need to be done before paint.
