I'm planning on painting my AEM CAI this weeking if it makes sense. I know AEM says that they powder coat either the inside or the outside of there CAI with some coating that prevents the pipe from heating up under the engine. Is this coating in the inside or is it on the outside of the pipe?
I ask because if I need to sand down the outside of the pipe I might not won't to sand down that coating.

 

I am not sure if it is on the inside or the outside but Get some Aircraft Remover it is a lot easier than sanding.
