Do you want loud or do you want moderate? It's not that hard of a choice.

Spoon n1 is 2.36 IIRC and the moogen TL is 2.5. I'v had both and prefer the sound of the TL.

I'll throw a 3rd name in the hat: Hytech Twin Loop

And- there happens to be one listed in the FS forum (just the axle-back). I have both the Mugen & Hytech twin loops and love them both. Can't go wrong either way, but I would prefer either TL over the N1.

If you have stock exhaust then the spoon N1 will bolt on.

I currently have the Hytech on the R and it sounds amazing!

hm.. i mean ive been youtubing alot of twin loops and N1. I think imma go with the twin loop since it sounds the best with moderate noise levels. But my question is do i need the full twin loop exhaust system to make it sound nice. And if i dont, does the twin loop bolt up correctly with stock headers and cat.

No it doesn't bolt up. TL is 2.5" and stock is 2.25"

If you have the cash, it is certainly one of the nicest ways to go.

N1's are nothing but noisemakers.

I've been hanging onto a HyTech TL header back for a few years in hopes of having a ITR one day. The slide together pinch bolt assembly is like no other.

Don't the RSR's have a 4.5" tip or something? That turned me off when I was looking at exhausts a few years back.

There is currently a very cheap HyTech exhaust for sale by user Asian G. If I were in your shoes, that's honestly what I'd go with. You'll need a B-pipe, or cut yours to make it work. But that is one of the best exhausts to choose from.

That, or a Fujitsubo T1R.

I've had the Mugen and it's ok, but not very performance orientated.

Edit: I did ya a favor here...

Hytech FTW. Mines sounded great with my C5, sounds even better on my K24

the twin loop is acutally 2.25" (even a jdm size cat is on the b pipe/mid section) upto the centre box if you measure it then 2.5" after.

lots of nonsence regarding they restrict the B18 but they dont , i run one on my track car and love it . the only downside is its weight.

Twinloop is the way to go if you're not concerned with weight.

I have the Apex-i World sport on my 98 R, not much louder than stock. Had it on only about 3 years, only been pulled over once for it, got let go cuz my driving record is immaculate. lol. I wanted the black version of the exhaust but couldnt find one at the time.
