hello, just wondering, will a y8 camshaft and valvetrain fit inside a y7 head?
will it run any good or different?
has anybody ever done it before(i've googled it and all i see is y7 valvetrain in y8 head and none for y7 head with y8 valve train)?
i know i wont have vtec or anything but it should fit right?

i've tried putting the y8 valvetrain on the y7 cam and i don't think that gonna fit.

so if i just use the y8 camshaft and valve train i should be good right?

ps the only reason i want to use my y8 camshaft and valvetrain on my y7 headis because i lost a spring that goes on the y7 valve train, and i dont feel like going to the junkyard just for a spring. and there isn't a spring on the y8 valvetrain either. sooo yeah

 

It will fit but not work. oil system issues. Don't feel like explaining, but if you look at the two heads for a while and you will figure it out.
