Possible tansmission swap
We all know that the Honda V6 trannys are terrible, but I was wondering if it would be possible to take a 5 spd automatic tranny from the 03-07 accords and make it fit my 97 CL 3.0.

The problem is the PCM for your car will not have enough outputs to correctly control 5 gears when it is only setup for 4 gears.
One option is to have a 98-02 transmission rebuilt by a competent transmission fellow whom understands the failings of these year four speeds.

The other option is to have the complete drivetrain from the later car installed into yours.
IMO trying to get the 5 speed to work in the 4 speed car is going to be a bigger PITA than just doing a complete swap.
