Default eg cowl hood

I know this has been posted before and talked about. I have searched for hours and have found nothing. I also know that this hood looks retarded and pointless for any eg/ek but I have a good reason for wanting one. With a j32 swap the engine sticks out quite a bit.

No this is not my car (I don't have any pictures of mine right now) I personally like the way it looks with the engine just campin out. But look at where the oil filler cap is. Around where I live some teen that thinks he's a hood rat will come by and probably poor water in my oil or some bs like that.

If anyone knows where to get one or has one for sale please pm me.

No one manufactures them. They are OEM hoods cut and modified to clear the engine.

Wasn't there a black widow or some other kind of cowl hood in circulation at one point in time?

I saw one that looked like somebody cut up a cowl off of an aftermarket camaro hood and broke out the bondo. Looked, for lack of a better word, retarded. But, it would work perfectly for me. Not to mention the added benefit of pissing off all of the "v8 only" people.

I was just wondering if it was an aftermarket hood that nobody would buy or something of that nature. Anyone know of a custom fabrication place where I can send them measurements, factory hood, or a drawing of what I want done? I would have it done here but, the only reason I get to do half of the things I do is because I have nearly unlimited access to a full machine shop for an oil company.

Thanks for the comments and not doing the, "well it's stupid, ugly, etc." arguments that I seem to not having any problems finding.

I rock no hood. But that limits when I can drive my car. Look at this thread: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-acura-28/%2A-post-your-j-swap-pics-any-j-series-swap-%2A-2615795/ on the first page splatv6's car has a custom hood. I'm not much on it but give him props for the work.

I'm not a fan of having the oil cap exposed like that though. That's just asking for trouble.

Anything is possible with a cutting torch, welder and bondo. The quality of the finished product reflects the time, effort, and knowledge that has been put into the project.
