I have a 2000 Accord EX that I bought @ auction. While I was repairing it I had the battery out of it, put it back in and found out that the car has an alarm. I think it's a factory alarm. I found on line how to program it but the car didn't come with a remote. I thought I read, but can't find it, that the EX needs a certain type of remote. Need to know if that's true and can I reprogram a remote from another vehicle ?

 

Don't waste your time on that factory alarm. Get an aftermarket one and be done with.
