Default Strange bump when I shift from reverse to drive

Just noticed this recently: when I have driven the car in reverse, exiting a parking space or my driveway for instance, and then switch the car into drive there is a distinctive bump sound (and it sounds like it's coming from the back left tire, or thereabouts). To give you an indication of what it sounds like... it's as if I had a small pumpkin (heard it the first time literally when we were getting pumpkins for Halloween, hence the choice) or bottle of soda rolling around in the back... and the back is definitely empty.

Any thoughts?

Oh yeah, forgot to add that it's a 2005, with about 115,000 miles on it. If it's a U Joint, should I be scared (I can do basic things like change the oil, but nothing beyond that)?

Had similar problem on my first gen it was a engine mount and a transmission mount at least that's what I think it was because it fixed the problem for me

u joints are staked in and you cant replace them. theres one company that makes them, but idk if they make them for your year.
