I have a 08 Honda civic, stupidly I have not checked the transmission fluid and the when my child was driving it she said it would not go above 20mph, her boyfriend checked it and the transmission fluid was low or none at all. Well the emission light came on, it drives now, but somethings not right. Have I screwed my car up? What do I need to do?

Hello there. Will need more information to help with the problem. There is no emmisons light on any vehicle. If the Check Engine light came on you will need to have it scanned for what codes. Once codes are identified a full diagnostic will have to be performed.
