Strange scraping, pulsating sound affecting handling.
I have a 1996 Honda Accord LX automatic. One night I drove to town and came back with no problems at all from the beginning to the end. However the next morning when I started driving I instantly noticed a scraping, metal on metal sound coming from the front end. The sound is really loud and it pulsates to the speed I travel. It occurs at any speed and it doesn't go away whether I'm going straight, left, or right. The car also jerks every few seconds when slowing down without the brakes engaged. What's strange is I also noticed that the steering is kind of erratic (more body roll than usual) and the tires actually squealed when taking a corner at less than 20 mph. If anyone has any ideas about what this might be I would appreciate your input. If this helps you out, the suspension is stock and I have new brake pads.
Scraping sounds when turning are often found to be the disk brake dust shields rubbing a bit.
However, since you stated there is more body roll, I would look at the sway bar end links. If one broke it could be rubbing against the wheel, and would cause the excessive body roll.
