Default EP3 Exhaust help needed

hey everyone, im new to the honda scene, only owned silvias and skylines since i was able to drive. i am in the process of building an ep3 using as many buddyclub parts as possible and am interested in using a full buddyclub exhaust, only problem is, i want the spec II system and they only make it for the DC5, i own an ep3. im known for straight pipes as im the obnoxious ******* that comes home at 3 am, lets just say by-law officers and i are on a first name basis. anyway, it has been covered before but i cant get a definite answer out of anyone, so here it goes.

will a buddyclub ep3 race header and a dc5 buddyclub spec II work on an ep3? (i dont want to hack things).

if not, will a dc5 BC race header coupled to the dc5 BC spec II work on the ep3? or are the DC5/EP3 BC headers the same?

if the tip of the spec II sticks out a few inches from the bumper i dont care, i dont want it to be sunk in or have to cut and weld a bend into a new exhaust though.

if none of these work, im going to have to settle for the spec III, not a big deal but i just prefer the spec II, (and-being-loud-and-having-my-neighbours-hate-me)...

like i said, im new to hondas so i dont know much about this specific subject. any help or definitive answers is greatly appreciated. thanks!

You will need a DC5 header to run a DC5 exhaust and you will have to mod the muffler somewhat as the hangers for the DC5 are different. Most likely the tip will stick out a few inches. Make sure you check out clubep3.com and ephatch.com, lots of great info and hatch lovin' there.

you don't necessarily need to have a dc5 header to have a dc5 exhaust... the exhaust for the dc5 is longer.
idk how the dc5 look from underneath... but if its just the length, then cut it and weld it..
I live in cali, and smog is crazy here, so my set up is the dc5 typeR header with its catalytic and I had already put on a skunk2 catback exhaust, so I just cut it and weld it.. had to extend the sensor since the dc5 header is longer.

You can cut and weld anything, the point was avoiding that. If you use a DC5 header with a DC5 catback on an EP3 you don't have to cut and weld anything aside from maybe the hangers on the muffler.

the only thing that is throwing me is that BC adverts their headers for the AP1 and FD2 seperatly where as the DC5/EP3 are in the same category. i could live with cutting just the hangers. just dont want to cut the exhaust up being that it is brand new and very nice. i have an oem DC5 exhaust, when i have time i will hoist up the ep3 and compare where the hangers are as well as the bends. i have a feeling that the spec III is winning this battle. thanks for the help people!

Any DC5 exhause will fit with DC5 header/down pipe or race header.

I used to run a DC5R header/cat EP3R mid pipe and a spoon N1, I've also ran a DC5 race header and DC5 J's Racing cat back

Exhaust hangers will work with no modification, the tip just hangs out further
