97 Integra Gsr with Code 91 HELP !!!
Just purchased this vehicle, I have a 97 integra gsr with a 99 Integra gsr motor. I have code 41 and 91. Code 41: I'm missing the primary 02 sensor. But for code, 91 Fuel Tank Pressure Circuit, anyone have the resolution to this problem? I want to get it smog, but having a hard time due to this code. Please help
How are you missing the primary O2 sensor? As in it isnt there at all? The **** people do to these cars never ceases to amaze me. Fix the O2 sensor issue..apparently just installing one should solve that problem. Clear the codes, drive it and see if code 91 comes back. It may for some wild *** reason be related to not having a primary O2 sensor at all.
Fuel tank pressure circuit...maybe needs a new fuel cap. Just a guess though.

Long story short, someone stole my EG6 with an Swapped. I got it back stripped, therefore I fair traded it for a 97 GSR which I know that it have codes. I wasn't too worry anyways, where I was just making sure the engine is good. My plan is to swap it the engine in another car. Until I find one, I need to fix the problem for DD.
I jumped the pins and read code 41 & 91. I went under noticing the 02 sensor is missing. I just received the 02 sensors which I putting on tomorrow. But code 91, I found a lot of info on gsr swapped in EK, but never got a problem with being an 98 engine swapped in 97 GSR.
I read that from 98-00 gsr ecu looks for FTP but 97 doesn't. Wonder is it the ECU? Any confirmation will be good

You should try your local PicknPull... 590 Computer Brain Box Car $48.99 + $4.99 core.
Never heard of Da Town California, so no idea what the closest PicknPull is to you.
There are a number of PicknPulls in the "Bay Area"... http://www.picknpull.com/check_inven...ra&Distance=50 94

I went to the one in Oakland. I found one in San Jose for $60 and I have read info on the forums about ECU codes. But how do you tell the difference from an OBD2 97 ECU and a 98 ECU. The ECU i have in the car is 37820-p72-a03.. And the one he have is the same. I just want to confirm that my ECU in my car is what I assume it is off a 99 ECU, but it's the same code he have on his ECU.
DTC Code:
P0091
Fuel Pressure Regulator 1 Control Circuit Low
1.Sensor or solenoid faulty
2.Connector terminal contact is damaged or corroded
3.Wire harness - Check harness for correct voltage, open, short to ground or short to voltage
4.Update control unit software - Check for the latest control unit update
5.Powertrain or Engine Control Module faulty
6.Fuel pressure - Pump, regulator, filter or lines

You can use an A03 ('97) or A02 ('96).

i'm not seeing a problem here. the article is pretty descriptive. just buy the potentiometer listed, quick splice it to ecm vref and ground, then adjust the pot to 2.5v and run the signal to the ecm pin that is anticipating it. pretty straight forward, bud.
not trying to be an ***, but,IMO, you're quite lucky enough to have the article alone

a potentiometer isnt a trick... its used to change resistance to a desired level to have a controlled output voltage level you want. think back to old slotcar racetracks. the control gun is a potentiometer you can see to understand them. its a its a tight wound coil with a wire attached to one end. and a wiper attached to the other wire... As the wiper is drug across the coil it gets further awsay from the other wire and the coil is a resistive load and draws amps which in turn lowers votage. its a type of switch, but instead of on of it can be used as a speed control or in this application just to lower voltage. in the case of cel 91 its used to get 2.5 exactly to fool the ecu that your evap system is in a satisfied range
instead of it being an on/off switch it has infinite positions kinda... The reason the slot car speeds up and slows down is because of the increase and decrease in output voltage via the potentiometer. so get you ecu pinout handy and follow catmans simple instrucitons and fix your prob
you've been here for over 3 years, yet only a handful of posts. very descriptive ones as well. we need more intelligent posters like yourself, offering descriptive, solid information
oh word... thanks mayne. yea, i dont go on here much. more of a find the problem myself kind of guy... people spend more time searching the damn web then searching for the problem themselves. in they time they spend on the web you can find most probs guaranteed haha. That thread explained what he needed to do perfectly
