Default D16Y8 broken valve cover bolt extration?

set my torque wrench to 11lbs and, snapped it clean off inside the head. Anyone know how to get it out? bought a bolt extractor but seems its not strong enough to go through the metal bolt, anyone know what drill bit could punch through it or what to buy?

Post a picture.

Is the bolt protruding slightly above the head?

Torque the valve cover bolts to 7.2 ft-lbs.

Use a spring loaded center punch to get the hole started and keep it centered.

Once you have it started drill as far as you can into it probably no more than 1/8 into the stud. Keep the drill bit centered.
Take your extraction tool and tap it firmly with a hammer.
Then you can back the broken stud out.

Sometimes it takes more than one try but as long as you arent damaging the threads you'll be ok
