Help please ! I have a 91 accord, I have replaced the o2 sensor' new spark plugs,cap, rotor,wires, and can't pass the smog here are my readings
Rpm 1857[ %co2 -14.0] O2%-0.4 [hc max 83 meas. 63] CO % max.75 meas. 1.37 ]No max 559 meas. 256
Rpm1932[ %CO2 14.1]O2%-0.3] BC max65 meas. 38 [ CO% max.63 meas. 1.35 ] no 184

 

Change the thermostat. Change the oil.

 

I just noticed that my upper radiator hose was sucked in, I replaced the hose and the radiator cap. I will replace the thermostat today and repost if it passes. thank you

 

Check the catalitic converter ?

 

i'm having the same problem and i also live in california here are my readings
Rpm 1782[ %co2 -9.6] O2%-5.1 [hc max 83 meas. 3218] CO % max.75 meas. 3.10 ]No max 559 meas.187
Rpm 2471[ %CO2 13.9]O2%-0.4] hC max65 meas. 11 [ CO% max.63 meas. 1.21 ] no max 516 meas 265

 

the smog tech told me that its not close enough where the cat would fix it.

 

have you done anything to try and better the number ? oil change spark plugs etc.

 

I've done all of that and then some. I talked to my dad last night and he talked to a friend that works at a Honda dealership and he told him exactly what ths problem was got get the exact name of the piece and I'll tell you what it might be since it sounds like were having the same problem

Car passed Smog with flying Colors. There are some plugs that sit by the and on the exhaust manifold that were plugged took them out went to the Honda dealership they cost $2.95 put them in and it's fine now

 

i would like more info about these plugs on the exhaust manifold. to me it sounds more like plugged egr ports.
