Dear DA owners. Which OBD is 90-93 integras?
I'm looking to buy a DA for the b18 and rear disk swap for my EF hatch and I wanted to know if 90-93's are OBD0 or if OBD1's came in at 92.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
TBH, technically, obd1 started as soon as o2 sensors with feedback, 3 way catalytic convertor, and ecm w/diagnostic capabiity came about. that would be the 1990 integra. even before that, the 88 civic. but for whatever reason, we say obd1 started in 92, with the 4 wire o2 sensor. that is what people refer to as obd1. it is, however, a fallacy

Thanks man
Ok sweet.Thanks bro
sorry, but i actually need to correct myself on that. the 3 way catalyst and o2 feedback system started with the inception of fuel injection. obd1 is simply ecm diagnostic capability. it just so happens that with hondas, they both came about during the same period.
however, as i'd mentioned, for whatever reason, any site you go to, or people you talk to, will refer to obd1 as starting when the 4 wire o2 sensor was implemented (92). for hondas anyway. anything before 92 is referred to as non-obd. which makes no sense, since a 1990 integra has the exact same diagnostic capability, and codes list, as a 92. it just lacks a heated o2 sensor.
people call a zero an "o". doesn't mean that's what it is. but for the sake of order, that's what the mass' call it, so that's what we say

Put a u shaped paper clip in blue or gray two terminal connector under passenger kick panel
Turn key to on read blinks of CEL or Red LED on ecu
Quick blinks are single digit codes break in between and long blinks first and last of two digit codes
Bookmarking that ecu link good to have info like that^

I have a 1990 Integra with a 1998 OBD 1 ECU and I remember that the OBD 0 ECU LED would flash codes without jumping the service connector.
You can check out my car on a cool new web site that is very helpful and informative3. It is called;
www.carrepairlinks.com
It has my 1990 Integra with a 1998 JDM GSR Swap from HmotorOnline.com. I did the wirining harness for the engine myself and used a flashed OBD 1 ECU with adapter harness. It has MSD ignition, weighs 2000 Lbs and has 200 HP at the wheels. The wheeels are Konig air liotes and are wrapped in Falken tires. The body is clean with the only mod being angel eye headlights. You can see engine and car on www.carrepairlinks.com.
