Default Any downfalls of having 2.5" piping to a 3" inlet exhaust?

I was planning on getting a custom welded 2.5" exhaust for my gsr. But I also see a possible chance of me getting a 3" Vibrant exhaust for dirt cheap. set up as of right now. Question is, would they be able to weld up and would there be any possible downfalls for running this set up? Let me know.

Mods List:

-Stock Gsr Block/Head
-Skunk2 Intake Mani
-Skunk2 Alpha 70mm TB
-Pwjdm Carbon Intake
-(Ordering) 2.5" Tri Y

My first question is why do you have a 70 mm tb on a stock engine?
And second are you going turbo later?

You WILL make more power with a 3" exhaust. Gives you a good platform so you don't have to upgrade in the future if you do more mods.

The downsides are it will be louder and ground clearance may be an issue.

I can't see it hurting, and as mentioned, if it's "dirt cheap" and you need an exhast, I would be all over it. 94

There was a sale at a local performance shop that had the tb for cheap and 70mm was the only one they had. So i bought it. And yeah, i'll be going to do more work on the engine as money flows in. I have a full apexi n1 set up and it's basically falling into pieces. Want to upgrade to 2.5" piping but wasn't sure what exhaust I would run. Saw the Vibrant 3" for a really good price and was thinking of picking it up to possibly use. So is it a go or no go?
