I have an 89 CRXsi and I'm planning on swapping the engine. Only I'm not sure which engine to swap in. I had my heart set on the b16, but now I'm hearing that with a ZC I would only be 0.5 or less slower in the quarter mile, and also that the ZC is actually a little more torquer, not to mention that the ZC is cheaper too.

 

Get the B16 or B series motor at least...more parts, more potential, more power...I'd go with a B20 if I were you...just my 02

 

1st off get a SPOON motor , then a Drag Gen 3 turbo kit with a T-66 turbo and a Motec Systems Exhaust and youll run 10's all day! But dont forget the Super Street seatbelt pads, i heard those give like 5hp a piece

i'd go for a b16, more fun to drive than a ZC
more potential down the line
more aftermarket parts.

 

Buy a B18A, a bit of work (easier than a B16 swap) and then you've got tonz of potential! (not to mention torque)

Seriously, I wish I did that instead of my Z6/Y8 (my excuse=lack of money&time)

 

if i get another crx id go with a gsr motor.....fun fun fun!!
