I need a parts breakdown and explanation of where the timing plate should be on the rocker arm assy. A buddy of mine is doing a head gasket of his car and he removed the bolts from the rocker arm assy and # 1 intake came apart. He brought all the parts to me but I cannot find anything showing me exactly how it all should be put back together. I have a spring, timing plate and springs and the little locking shafts in a box. Any help?

Thanks ghost, now another question. During cleaning and inspection I found 3 of the timing plates broken, what would cause that? I have never seen that before.
Can you post up a picture?
It is hard to give a reason without a good description or a photo of the issue.
What do the corresponding rocker arms look like, are there any signs of wear?

Well I'm currently at work, but where the plate comes over the top of the intake rocker arm it snapped off their. #2,3 and 4. All rockers are in very good shape, no noticable wear at all. Its just very weird. Good thing is they are cheap, it's just strange they all broke at the first bend from the spring.
