Yes.

I've had it just 2 days shy of one year, with 40k miles on it... and it still runs just as well with just as much power as day one. Get it built right, and it'll last you a long time.

I've always wondered how they would go as well, and whether the CRV's drivetrain could handle the increased power...

I don't think it'd be an issue. The main power gains are up in the higher RPM's, not down low where you have to worry about shocking the driveline...especially the pencil thin rear axles and apple sized rear diff.

My 50 year old neighbor has a CRV Turbo fully built motor. Its a T3/T4 Turbo. Funny when he beats Cobras and SS's they don't know what him 'em.

There is a Mugen CRV.
They shaved the cylinder head to up compression from 8.8:1 to 10.0:1.
Its got a port and polish and cams designed by Mugen with AEM cams gears and the flywheel was lightened from 20lbs to 14lbs.
The throttle body was bored out 4mm.
Mugen header and exhaust(stock crv midpipe).
The rev limit is 6300.
All in all they gained: 41.2 HP and 36.6lbft for a total of 135 HP and 134lbft.
I got this from summer 99 Honda tuning.

are you talking about the blue one with the bronze racing hard CP-8s, of so, it was a straight up GS-R engine bolted up to the CRV trans and drivetrain

I spoke to the owner of that CR-V...her name is Kitty and she's a manager of Autolink...it was a GSR head with a B20 block..i was going to buy the turbo from her...that was about 6 months ago...they decided to sell the parts...dunno why....my friend did a B20VTEC along with a DRAG GEN III turbo...before the VTEC head...he ran a 15.2...forgot what trap speed...that was with full interior and stock alloys...running at 7 psi...with an automatic...so...a manual at like 9 psi could hit the 14's....and perhaps some weight reduction...the lightest i got my V was 2975lbs...that was with no rear seats...passenger seats...stereo out...everything...i'm sure if i took plactic pieces out of the trunk..i could've gotten lightier...but she's gone now....some a$$hole stole it from my college parking lot... .....hehe...excuse my venting...............
