Default Skid Plate '95 Civic Sedan

Yeahhh, I'm getting a skid plate installed next weekend for my sedan, I'm not gonna drop it right away, I sit about 4" off the ground right now & I'm a pizza hut driver, so like everywhere else on the planet, we all have bad roads, know what I mean?

It's just gonna cover my trans and oil pan, anchor points will be my two tow hook areas and the other two are undecided, black steel is the plate we're using.

I was planning on welding it onto my car, but decided not to because if I needed to take it off. it will be spaced about an inch and a half away from my trans and pan.

Will post pics as soon as possible!

are you off-roading this thing? just how bad are your roads you need a skidplate with 4" of clearance?

Might need a skid plate if he was rolling on 20's and crawling over rocks?
Im amused and bewildered why he thinks he needs one?

What part of the car is 4'' off the ground? lol
Are the roads in guam that bad?

My buddy made a skid plate for his K swapped civic long ago, but he was smashing oil plans left and right.

oh crap! i forgot to add my question!

I wanted to ask "What should I be watching out for?" "I've never wound my coils all the way down and I'm not sure what to do if a new problem occurs, what's the worst that has happened to you or your buddy?"

Taking precautions, my buddy wrecked his skid plate on his miata.
not exactly sure how he wrecked it, but when we were looking at it, it was basically stuck to his pan

Just so you know there are thousands of people out there with your exact car that are SLAMMED and don't have any kind of skid plates. If you plan on going a buck 20 down a freeway that's covered with pot holes and bumps then maybe get one. But if not.. I wouldn't even bother with it.

That car is going to brake into peices first.

I honestly don't really know of any issues. I've personaly never done it.

It's just going to be one of things you dive and figure it out as you go.
