92 lude h23 to h22 swap issues!?!?
Doing a job for a customer: 1992 prelude with h23 swap. He threw a rod and wanted a h22a swap put in it. Got the long block and put it all in. Using the h23 harness and Trans. My questions are map sensor? Use one on fire wall or tb? No spark at all. I am running the h23 dizzy and external coil. No spark. I just need guidance and help. It's frustrating me badly. Please help guys. I just want it running and out my yard so I can get paid lol
Agreed, I did the exact same swap in my 92. I ran vtec solenoid and pressure switch wires to p13 ECU, H23 TB and map sensor (tps sensor broken on my h22). Started up right away.
As far as your no spark... Are you sure it's an h22a and not an a4? The a4 has the crank sensor on the crank timing gear instead of in the dizzy like the h23...

The 92 h23 harness has the plug for the external coil already there. I used the jdm, dizzy on my swap so i had to jump the connector to provide power to the internal coil. I would have used the h23 dizzy with external coil had it not been throwing a code before I did the swap.

Test to see if it is getting the trigger signal on the blue wire at the coil connector. If not your problem is ecu, dizzy, or wiring harness. If it is getting the trigger signal the your problem is cap rotor wires plugs or coil.
