my 92 eh2 build (be patient with me please lol))
What's up all, after owning the car for all of 4-5 months, the ol' trusty d series spun a rod bearing on me so it's time for a winter build. Paint, wire tuck, swap, fitment, the whole 9, all hopefully before spring IA '13! Here's the platform, my 92 CX hatchback!

I haven't ordered anything, but here soon I will be starting the ordering process. Planning on keeping it this color as well, just with a nice accent color. I will not be starting on it until most of the parts are ordered. I'm looking for opinions swap wise so post em up, and let me know what you think of the ride as it progresses! Hopefully it won't go that slow, but that'll depend on the weather out here on the East coast! lol Thanks for looking everyone and welcome to my slow but going build thread!

Honestly there really is no budget, I'm just planning on stopping when I say stop. Numbers wise I have no high expectations simply because if I do anything to the motor it'll probably just be head work, nothing crazy! this has been my daily since I bought it and will continue to be post build so it will be low power N/A. The only real goal I have for the hatch is to meet my expectations and portray my style as much as possible
Agreed, is a nice starting point. I dig that charcoal gray color. Wish my bubbleback was that color. Will be very interesting to see where this goes. What type of motor are you thinking of putting in it?

Right now motor wise I'm really looking into the b series options, its just a matter of vtec or non-vtec. As of today I just locked down a solid d series full drop-out for it to get me by until I decide on and purchase a swap. I'm open to opinions on swaps though so if you have a valid opinion on what swap I should go in it and what tasteful mods could/should be done post them up
just for ***** and giggles I'll post pics of that change out probably next week/weekend lol

I see where you're coming from, I'm really contemplating a b16b though and the only reason I was possibly going b16a, even though I know ny car isn't and never will be a real or replica of an eg6, would be to keep the engine as close to car correct as possible, you know what I mean? If I do end up going with a 1.6l I will be trading the trans out for a Gsr trans.. I can't stand the extremely short gears of a b16 trans lol
I was once not a fan of the H-series myself, but now I have a whole new prospective about it. K-series power for half the price.
Be a little more specific. What kind of engine harness you looking for? Replacement harness? Tucked, mil spec harness? If You want a tucked harness I have dealt with chasebays and there quality is amazing so is rywire.
Tucked milspec with quick disconnect. ChaseBays is what im liking at the moment honestly. I've also dealt with their cs and had a very pleasant experience! Besides that, they're probably the closest to Louisville and I like that! Lol

I really appreciate all the interest and feedback on the car as is though guys and girls, it really is motivating me to get this done and ready to be seen
