Default JDM P30 OBD1 ECU into USDM B16A3, with smog check

Hey HT,

Just wondering what is the drawback using a JDM ECU?

I just did a B16A3 swap into my EG, but the swap isnt come with the ECU, and I'm buying a JDM OBD1 P30 ECU, now my question is, what is the drawback by using a JDM ECU into USDM car?

I'm from British Columbia, Canada, so there's a smog check every 2 years, will I pass by using JDM P30 ECU, disregard any other problem for the smog check?

Please let me know, I tried to search for it but cant really find a good info about the drawback using a JDM ECU into USDM motor.

Thanks in advance
