I haven't done any swaps, but from my experience at Battlebots, I can tell you two things about building anything mechanical:

1) Do it right the first time. It's just that worth it.
2) Use the right tool for the right job. Using the wrong tools will make it harder for you in the long run.

be prepared for troubles that you didn't expect, there's always one or two little things that can tie you up for hours, i.e a bolt breaking. just be patient and take your time, it took me about an hour or two to rip out the old motor and then about 4 hours to get the new engine in and everything hooked up, good luck

Update.....Its 1 pm in the afternoon PST.....Engine is bout 2 come out im taking a break letting those exhust bolts and nuts soak w/ some dub-40.....mounts and axles and linkage left thats it.....Anyhow im fixin 2 go wrench some more.....I'll will have pics when done.....I am dreading the wiring part bah.....Peace

Beast of a d16y7 is no longer in service she is out.....Poor slow beast.....Tomorrow will be step 2.....I actually had no real big probs today knock on some friggin wood.....Anyhow any of you have any tips on riggin my Dx engine harness 2 work with that Ls motor might save me some headaches or etc.....Thanks Chris

Got the proper fuel hose? Goes from fuel filter to fuel rail.

I got my whole swap done last weekend.. and I waited this whole week for a damn fuel hose.

drop the ol d16 out today huh? Flew through that quicker then you expected. WEll any last minutes tips, umm if your pinned under you engine falling on you and the phone is in reach. hah. call me. ill get you unstuck. oh yeah
