For some reason, I get a big smile on my face every time I run across a high-mileage ITR. My R's spend 99% of their time under car covers in a warehouse, so maybe thats why I enjoy seeing ones that have been let off their leash and been well-enjoyed. I've seen a handful with over 200k, but I'm curious to know what everyone else has, or has seen. Any 300k R's out there...?
Jim had 200 something on his before selling it. I know there was also one in MD that was in the 200's.
I don't expect b18c5's to hold up for that many miles and that's fine. Anybody that can put that amount of miles on a chassis without getting it robbed or wrecked is a champ in my book.
I believe mine is in the 160's, I honestly don't even pay attention.

Steez, I can confirm on the one in MD. It's a PY(at least the one I'm thinking of) with about 230k on the clock as far as I know.

^ that's my old R if you still have the JDM fronted 2000 in Raleigh. I want to see it. That was a high mile car from the start, I bought it when it was 6 years old and was well into the 100's already.
I want to say I saw it on craigslist but it's been a while. It was someones daily driver and it was extremely clean looking for the mileage it presented. Someone really took care of it.
I still have it and just bought a set of SSR Type C and a MemoryFab Kevlar seat for her. I love the car so much , it gives me no problem in these 3 years. Right now its siting on the side of my NSX
I have 260,000+ on my chasis. Had Speed Theory rebuild the engine at 180,000. First brake pad and rotor change at 245,860.

Guess I shouldn't be scared to buy one with close to 100k on it then. I plan on driving it regularly. I keep up with maintenance, probably way more than necessary.
I got 244xxx kms on my 99 R, rebuilt at 237xxx kms by Honda technician, everything replaced at that time, replaced tranny with same kind, and kept the original motor after the rebuild. Added a aem 3" cai w/ velocity stack, plm big tube header and a tanabe axle back muffler. Runs great! I bought the car in in un drivable condition so I'm just enjoying driving the car to and from for now.
166k on the clock. All original, no rebuilds yet. Abuse the crap out of it at autox and still running strong!!
Is it because the B18C5 uses lighter components and is assembled by hand that they're not expected to last as long as other Honda engines?
My '98 has 165K miles, and hasn't "changed" in at least 30k miles in terms of oil consumption (1.5qt per 3k or so) or strength, so I think it can go quite a bit more before needing any work. I suspect it's because I never tracked it or abused it otherwise (in forsale if interested - 10k with winter tires). Never has knocked or shown other high-mileage issues either.
