Default Clutch question

So I have to replace my clutch. Got quoted about $400 from Acura.. Is there another good alternative? No "race" clutch. Just stock replacement kit types. Thanks for your input. Mechanic said ACT doesn't have one for the R.

If you were quoted 400 for a clutch job at the dealer than i would take it there! Unless you know how to replace it on your own.

If you talking about 400 for just the parts. than its a little steep for a oem clutch but then again OEM is pretty much the best your gonna get thats not race!!!

Yeah just the parts man. That's what I was thinking. OEM is best. But I thought there would be other OEM replacement kits from other good brands.

Exedy stg1 feels like stock clutch, better bang for the buck.

I googled Exedy Integra and this thread popped up https://honda-tech.com/forums/acura-integra-type-r-8/exedy-oem-vs-exedy-stage-1-vs-honda-oem-2952713/

Now I'm decided to get the Exedy Stage 1 since it's very close to stock according to some member and it's cheaper and good quality. Who is "BlueR" so that I can get it from him?

The Exedy Stg1 is an excellent oem replacement. You won't be disappointed.
