Icon2 Oil Pressure Switch Size

Hello, I was trying to replace my oil pressure switch last night and bought the proper socket for the new one, and when I went to remove the old one with that socket, it was far too big.

I have searched and searched but cannot find the proper size of the OEM oil pressure switch socket size.

Does anyone know what size it is? Any help is greatly appreciated!

The OEM switch I believe is a 24mm socket.

I just replaced this part on my accord but the first brand (BWD) did not work right and triggered the oil pressure light. The second one (a Beck Arnley one), worked perfectly. That was actually a 25 mm switch. The BWD one was a 22mm switch.

Use gasket sealant on the threads (not too much and apply it at the middle and the base, not the tip), the manual calls for it not teflon tape. The switch only needs 13 ft lbs, so you don't have to pile drive it in. Blunderfully, people have broken off the switch into the block before.

Thanks for the input, I picked up a tube of Hondabond to seal the threads. I put my hand up on the switch and felt around, it feels like it isnt even screwed in flush with the block. Is that okay? I read that some of the threads don't go all the way in. Thanks!

I wouldn't screw it in flush with the block, you may break it off. 13 ft lbs the manual says. I wouldn't use a torque wrench, just know you should not make it too tight.
