for sale is my 1991 honda crx dx. i am the second owner.
425,000 miles. yes i know it was a lot of miles but a lot of freeway miles and it was well taken care of. its in better condition than 90% of the crx's on the road with lower miles.
5 speed.
ac works. blows cold. heater works too.
clean title under my name
passes ****.
great gas mileage. 33mpg without even trying.
originally bought new in northridge honda california. i still have the window sticker.
very clean interior. 100% complete blue interior. never been removed or replaced. also comes with spare tire and accessories.
i have all the service documents from the past 20 years everything from lube jobs to tire changes and major services. only done at Honda dealerships and Honda/Acura specialty shops.
original paint. never been involved in a accident.
exterior is in awesome shape. clear coat still shines. no dents or dings. very tiny tiny pebble chips from freeway on hood. rear driver side bumper has a slight scrape. not noticeable.

heres the latest services that was performed

50,000 miles ago:
timing belt and water pump, oil pump seal, cam seal, oil pan gasket, ac compressor, accumulator drier, evaporator, climate control, recharge r12 freon,

10,000 miles ago:
OEM replacement exedy clutch kit, resuface flywheel, throw out bearing and pilot bearing, rear main seal, transmission output shaft seals and input shaft seal, honda mtf oil.

5,000 miles ago:
new distributor, spark plugs, valve lash performed, new manual rack and pinion with inner and outer tie rods, new motor mounts on all 4 , new tires all 4 from discount tire, 4 wheel alignment, trunk latch shocks, valve cover gasket, and all drive belts, rear wheel hubs with bearings both sides.

there are a lot of other services that was performed. i cant think of everything at the moment. but i do have all the service papers for documents.

not a single drop of oil underneath the car. and it is 100% dry under the vehicle as well

motor was never taken apart. 100% original with match vin. transmission too.

as you can see. this vehicle was well maintained. pictures will speak for itself and wont do any justice either.

I am aware of the blue book value. the price was based on value of the vehicle, demand, and condition. if the price is too high please look else where and try finding another Honda CRX in same condition and price

Freeway miles or not - doesn't really make a difference. It's still 425,000 miles. Makin it average 20,000 miles a year. Average 20 years ago was half that (10,000 miles a year). So it's been ****** driven. None the less for that amount of miles considering then it's a really clean car. I wouldn't go near $3,900 since its basically a clean shell.

wow i guess being honest with car mileage isn't a considered an honest deed in society nowadays.

1. yes it has 425,000 miles. did i lie? no i did not. i stated there is that much miles.

2. an average car accumulates 12,000 miles a year. key word AVERAGE cars over a statistical group that did research on numerous vehicles between various age groups. not a lot of people drive 12,000 miles a year. some more some less. so i dont know where you got the conclusion that 10,000 miles is the average a car should get a year. some people drive 60 miles one way just to get to work. the crx was produced for that purpose. it was produced to be a commuter car.

3. mileage is used as a numerical value for/as measurement. a car that has 425,000 80% city 20% freeway is completely different than a car that has 425,000 80% freeway 20% city. maybe with more google research on your side you would be more knowledgeable on that.

4. you consider this car a clean shell. well if you are looking for a clean shell then this is probably the cleanest you will ever come across for a long time. but it has a complete engine with working ac. so i dont know where you got the idea of a clean shell.
wait i know. because its a honda right? motors can be replaced but a clean shell is hard to find right? some people do not look at a honda crx that way. some look at it as a high mpg producing commuter car. just because you are looking for a clean shell doesnt mean every honda is one in your eyes.

5. you seem to have a problem with the price. well you arent the only one looking for a clean honda. consumer market and demand created the price for these type of vehicles.I am going to assume that you were looking for a clean honda crx or EF shell so you went to the search bar and typed honda crx and found my thread.

1. Didn't say you lied. I just said that's a lot of miles

2. I knew when typing that line that I should clear up the wording but I decided against it ue to laziness. I meant 20 years ago the average yearly mileage was about 10,000 miles a year, now it's about 15,000. I was just saying that's a lot of miles to put in in that amount of time. And yes people putting those 60 miles per direction to work are putting a lot of miles on their car... Not sure how that was an excuse.

3. I understand freeway vs. city miles. Oil pressure, engine temperature, etc. There's still almost half a MILLION miles on that engine. I know the idea of "Honda's last forever." yeah that's why there's none in the junkyards right? It's because people abuse the **** out of the cars. Not saying you did, just saying a good majority and chances are very high.

4. Seen cleaner, literally mint. So mint that if you took it back in time to the showroom with the current miles and it's age you wouldn't be able to tell a difference. It sold for $4,300 too.

Don't think every car is a contender for a shell. I would just be flabbergasted if someone opened up the engine and it was in a condition parallel to one with only 100,000 or even 200,000 miles.

5. Second portion of #4 explains why I feel it's price is high. I see the market artificially inflating the price, yes. I scope out Craigslist and here daily, I honestly doubt what the idiots are asking for on Craigslist is what they're getting though.

I am located in las vegas, nv. if the potential buyer wants to fly in i can pick them up from the Las Vegas airport and you can drive the car back

1990+ toyota pickup/tacoma 5 speed

all vehicles considered in the trade must have equal value in condition as my vehicle.

that means title must be clean under your name.
must have current emissions that have passed
good clutch, timing belt/chain and water pump replaced, great working ac and good tires
only looking for a car listed above that is as close to original as possible. everything down from the body, paint, suspension, interior, and original wheels. stereo i dont mind if its not original. if it is and working then a big plus.
