clutch wont disengage after clutch install
Alright so I currently have a 01 gsr, and lately I've been having trouble shifting into 2-5 at higher RPMs. I read a lot and I felt pretty confident that my problem was the springs on my clutch disk. So yesterday I dropped the tranny and sure enough they were all loose and one actually was lodged in at a angle. Anyways that's not my issue now. My problem now is I put everything back together and started it up. Start up was fine. So i kept my foot on the clutch, and shifted through the gears right, but when i went to release the clutch to take off, once the clutch pedal came up to disengage, I didn't go nowhere, and i could hear a scraping oscillating sound. Also, the clutch pedal is really weak, but not completely out. The pedal still comes up on its own. Has anyone heard of this happening or have a good idea what's going on. I really don't want to drop the tranny again but I'm pretty sure that's going to happen in the next few days. Thanks for any and all replys.
Damn that sucks and could possibly be my issue. Could u tell that before you dropped the tranny? Was the feel of the pedal like i described? Also did you hear something spinning when releasing the clutch pedal?
Ok seems your clutch fork aint releasing, sounds like you need to first check the slave cylinder on the trans. make sure the ball joint is in the clutch release fork correct, then bleed your clutch slave, its very easy, if your by your self pump your clutch a few times then use a big bar or jack handle to hold the clutch pedal down to the floor and wedge it to the side by your gas release, then take a 8mm and open the nipple on the slave, you will see and hear air and fluid come out, tighten the nipple and repeat about 3 times and your clutch and pressure should be fine. I hope you didnt take off the trans again!!
I haven't started tare down yet but its going down today. I bled clutch thoroughly and watched the slave go out and back in with no problems. Someone else suggested i may hsve installed the throw out bearing backwards and that hes done it before. Do you or anyone else know how to tell the right way the bearing goes on?

It should go on only one way.

Oh i thought you meant that one of the.clips that the fork holds onto had to face up and i could potentially have it faced down. I know the tabs r on the back of bearing for the fork to attach to it so now idk wat my problem is.
