Default SiR cluster install

It took me 3 hours to wire the sucker in and it works fine I used an
ECU pin tool and transfered each connector one by one. Just matched colored wires as the instruction says. I was guessing on how to install the electronic VSS, there were 3 wires black (ground), orange (lead), yellow (switched power), is this correct? Anyway, speedo works but check engine light comes on when slowing down. I couldnt have possibly interchanged the lead and power wire or else it wouldnt work...any ideas?

What's the code its throwing? I'll look through my notes to see if I find anything. Also what car did you get the VSS from?

I used a prelude vss so the wire configuration was different from civics. Took me 3 trys til I got the configuration right but there's only 3 wires and 3 spots, hehe. Oh yeh, you gotta tap the speedo signal wire back to the ecu so your vtec can kick in. Your vss should have power, ground, and speedo signal, NOT switched power to cluster like you said. Your speedometer works?? than you wired it up right. Check what code it's shooting first.

A reset on the ECU actually did the trick...Apparently, the ECU wasnt recognizing the new electronic signal from the VSS...Anyway, now I found a new problem...hehehe...I'll post a new thread.
