Hey,

I know the front end or 'doghouse' is different on the 04-05, than it is on the 01-03, but it the core support the same? I have an 04 that was hit on the right front and it needs the corner repaired or replaced. I prefer to replace it but the only donor i can find it a 2001.

If it were just the core i would buy a new one, but i need that corner, i need half the radiator support and the part in front of the right strut tower. Does anyone know if they are the same?

**I created the tranny poll, mainly out of curiousity. I have always had older Civic's that never had auto issues or had a manual. I bought this 04 to replace my 98 with 330,000 miles and was just concerned. But i should have added a 6th option for no problems and now i cant seem to change it. Oh well.

 

They (the front bulkheads) have different part numbers, so I'm assuming they're different. Rumor has it you supposedly have to change the "core support" when you do an 01-03 to 04-05 conversion, but some people who have done this conversion never mentioned the need to do this. So..



As far as transmission issues, the 01-03 are known to be more problematic than the 04-05. Rumor is due to a change of internal components. (04-05 is said to have higher quality components)
