94 Honda Accord LX Overheating . . Possibly dying slow painful death
So I have this honda and she has been good to me and I thought I had been good to her. So far I have replaced the water pump, timing belts, thermostat, and radiator cap. No bad hoses, no more weird leaks, she just keeps over heating after about a half hour on the freeway. Over 280k miles on it now so I'm not expecting much but I would like to get at least one more year out of it. Any clues as to what the problem is now?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Do the fans ever come on ? Check the lower radiator hose and see if it gets hot before it overheats.

Yeah, this over heating stuff seems to be popping up around here, alot. My 90 EX, is similar. The stuff Ive been advised about are temp sensor, and reservor tank defect. Ill be watching all overheat topics, and help where I can, as My over heat problem gets solved
Im stubborn and wont rest until this gets resolved.

@sightsandsounds Can you point me to more info on this "reservoir tank defect"?
I have a very similar problem with my '97 as the OP. Managed to narrow it down to somehow, the radiator is running dry while the reservoir is full. Hoses are good, there's pressure in the radiator, thermostat is brand new, etc. Going to change the radiator cap anyway, but I was told that because the radiator is still holding pressure, that's likely not going to do anything. Tank defect sounds like something I should look into.

UPDATE: Still hit and miss on heating up. It's not actually going into the red but it fluctuates a LOT. Still no leaks, in the past few days it has been fine driving for an hour straight but then it gets hot sometimes after only 30 minutes. Fan on driver side seems to always be on but I still need to see if the other one kicks on with AC on. Anyway to check the sensors and other electronics without taking it into a shop?
