Honda shows them as the same exact part number and price. 12251-P0A-004

I'm not sure where you're looking. Something must not be right.

all the parts stores... advance, auto zone, and oreilly list 3 different sets... one for the dx, lx, and se... one for ex and ex-r coupe, and one for ex and ex-r sedan... they are all different prices. the ex coupe one is the most expensive one, which is what i have... a buddy of mine suggests the coupe is a non-vtec and the sedan is vtec, but im pretty positive my vavle cover says vtec....

Buy the one that is cheaper for the F22B1 HG gasket kit. The gaskets are all the same from 94-97 for the F22B1 (SOHC VTEC) engine. Doesn't matter how many doors it has or the OBD! Autozone is crap, and 90% of the people that work the parts counter only know how to look up parts when you give them all the info. If you leave something out you could be F#@ked and get the wrong part very easily!

Honestly, when buying parts like that you should try honda first. Normally they arent much more expensive and you get honda OEM.
