no dash light on auto to manual swap
So I was rapping up my swap an the thread I was working off of said splice the green/white wire were the auto shifter use to be to the black wire. So I took the old shifter that was still plugged in an cut all the wires I get a spark an all my dash lights go out except the battery light. Anyone ever have this problem? I know I know I shouldn't be cutting wires while I have power to the car but hey... I have pics of it if nobody knows what im talking about any help would be appreciated.
I know the reverse lights are wired in there but isn't there one that goes to ecu?

Sorry to say the wiring instructions in that thread are incorrect, and will cause the short you mentioned (you've wired your park light indicator into your starter wire).
Someone fries their dashboard on a weekly basis using those instructions but that thread won't go away.

Thanks bro normally try to avoid how to's like that but I was in a jam. So what did I blow an how do I fix it checked all fuses under dash and Hood.
