I searched a bit but couldn't find the exact answer to this.

I'm replacing the carpet in my car (1997 Honda Del Sol). However, I'm not paying for a carpet kit that is premolded so I plan to just buy some by the yard and I'll mold it myself with a heat gun and spray adhesive (http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/c...out_carpet.htm)
The site I linked comes in 76" width sheets by the yard.

My question is, what size of rectangle will fit into the del sol? It has to curve over the center piece so it's obviously longer that the width of the car.

Has anyone done their carpet before like this?

It would be great to get some dimensions without having to remove my current carpet, measure it with soft tape measuer, and then order.

Also, any suggestions on well priced material that will cut the road noise a good bit?
