94 Accord/Auto Trans/145kmiles

Was driving into work this morning and at some point during my long commute the CEL came on. So, I get into work turn the car off and then back on and drive it to get some breakfast a few miles away....the CEL never came back on. Nothing ever seemed abnormal.

Anyway, question is, will a code still flash if I go under the glove compartment to get it? Even if CEL isnt on anymore?

It might have just been a temporary malfunction that the ECU addressed. If it comes back, I'd OBD2 it, but for now, no worries.

 

Sounds good. Ill just keep an eye out. Only reason it really bothered me I was actually planning to take it on little road trip this weekend.

 

EGR Valve. mine was doing the exact same thing when my egr needed cleaning. never had it again.

 

Well it came on again on the way home. It comes on after I drive for about 15-25min. So I jumped the code and it game 41 - Primary O2 Senor Heater....

Whelp...Guess I know what im looking at now.

 

This is almost always simply you need to replace your oxygen sensor unless you have been fiddling with your wiring of late.
