Default LS Intake Options

So im building an LS integra motor
Currently:
b18b
B20 Cams
11.5:1 Eagle Pistons
Carillo Rods
Balanced and Micropolished rotating assembly
ARP Head studs
Yokana knockoff Header (going with PLM)
HKS Sport Exhaust
Skunk 2 Test Pipe
Zdyne ECU (Hellla old skool)

Anyway Im looking into my intake options, I want to get another manifold since i might go turbo but i really want to see what i can do all motor with the LS before i gotta go VTEC. My question is what are my options for Intake Manifolds, ive seen an Edelbrock but thats about it, theres gotta be something out there. I dont think im going to have to upgrade my throttle body yet because at the moment if i get 170 hp out of it id **** a brick. However i could be wrong since the CRV cams are only a little smaller than a set of Skunk 2 stage ones.

so what are good intake manifold options and would this set up warrant a larger throttle body?

you dont need a larger throttle body. your best and most cost effective option is going to be to get a s2 manifold and keep your stock tbody. either way, if you plan on going vtec sooner than later id just rock the stock manifold and save your $

If your planning on going boost, just keep what you have. when your forcing air into the intake, all the NA laws go out the window.

I have a set of stage 2 Crane cams i used when i was on boost and picked up another 22whp and a lopey idle. I have them up for sale since im going NA. If interested, PM me

but, to answer your question, theres S2 (same as blox IMO), Blox, Edelbrock (gains past 7k rpm)

It really depends on the RPM band you want to hit. If you're staying with stock cams you can get an intake with better flow but you're not really going to see big gains till you start to raise your RPM band with better cams.

after reading the original post,

guy lists b20b in the mod list, then says he wants to see what the NA LS will do, then theres a team single cam sig..

^^ its a misnomer. everyone in the team has a B series but thats besides the point. but like everyone else in the world im looking to get smooth torque and horsepower bands.

thanks charlie. b16 heads do have a ton of other options though thats really convenient.

I'm interested in this as well. I've got a b18b1 with similar compression, crower stage 2 cams, crower springs/retainers, supertech valves, rmf rep header, 2.5" exhaust, revving to 8500.

Intake options are what I'm looking at as well. I've had the victor X and the performer X both suggested to me so far.

I have been searching around, and a lot of what I am finding is people with vtec heads over and over again. And many of the threads are several years old. Technology and available products change so much in this game that there is never going to be one single answer, especially if it's an old thread.

We're just asking for direction and suggestions. Not for the magical secret setup. Yes there is a lot of information on the internet, but not everyone knows exactly where to look and a lot of us haven't been in the honda game for as long as some of the members here.

Nothing has changed much for the LS/B20 cylinder heads in terms of support & technology.

the reason why more people go with the VTEC head is that in the long run, it's much more effective.

looking at your $/hp gain ratio , it often discouraged many from taking a full Bnonvtec build route unless your a die-hard fan of the LS head for some reason.

I'm have nothing againist Bnonvtec but just being real with you.

For NA, no need for a VictorX IM. It's way to big & won't help anything.
LS cylinder heads don't flow enough (even if ported) to require that big of a pelumun.

Get a blox or Skunk2.

j.red - I have the Crower stage 2 cams and I went with the OBD0 B16 intake because it's what I had. Definitely a noticeable upgrade over the LS. Much better flow but more importantly proper RPM range. I can't speak to the p30 intake but it looks like it may be good as well.

Minor modification required for both. On the bright side this also means your intake won't have water running through it any more
