Default 1990 Civic DC relay keeps going bad

I bought a 1990 civic dx HB with a D16Y7. I do not know too much about Honda's, it's my first one so bare with me. It has OBD1 P06 ECU, not sure if that is stock or not. It has a wire tuck from the previous owner, and was all wrong. I already had to fix map sensor, TPS sensor, IAC sensor, and IAT sensor.

After that it ran like a champ for about 5 days. Then one day it wouldn't start and fuel pump wouldn't kick on. My buddy jumped a pin and the fuel pump kicked on so i bought a new relay and it started right up. The next day the same thing happened. I ran a continuity check on both relays which i followed from here... http://autorepair.about.com/od/engin...nrelay_tst.htm . Both relays are fine according to this. I am still not getting power to the pump, or injectors. I also have no spark. My check engine light is on. I jump the pin and the light will not flash, it just stays on. Not sure what that means.

The wiring for the ECU is terrible. I did not do it and I do not know how to fix it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. The buddy that helped me with everything just deployed so I don't have anyone local to help. I'm thinking of shelling out a lot of money to pay a shop to fix it. I'll include a pic of the ECU wiring. Thanks.

The title says Civic DC... Spelling error CIVIC DX. Sorry

Somebody did a really hack job of a wire tuck.
You are forked for this being really easy.

However - the solid ECU light is actually helpful.
That's common for the ECU missing a ground. This might also explain the main relay issue.
(Main relay controls power to your injectors and fuel pump.)

Stock location for these grounds are on the thermostat housing.

Okay, so where is the thermostat housing? I did notice that i do not have much continuity for ground. I had a lead wire going to ground bat terminal and most places in the engine bay did not have ground like bare bolts. I just thought that they should don't know if thats normal or not.

Also, do you know why the wires that come out of the ECU immediately go into a silver plug? whats the point of that adapter or different plug?

Silver plug? I see yellow and red wires with black connectors.
Appears to be an OBD1 jumper harness - allows your pre-OBD wiring harness to be used with an OBD1 ECU.

The only pic I can come up with for the thermostat housing in a mild search
Standing on your passenger side looking in over the transmission.
Follow your water hose from the radiator to the engine.
Should similar to this if not the same. The red box in this pic is nothing. Just a pic from the internet.

Also check the hood ECU fuse and the dash PGMFI/fuel pump fuse.

Ok All those grounds look good as far as I can tell, no fuses blown, BUT BIG PROBLEM THAT IS NEW... I go to try and start it again, and it wont even roll over. I look at ecu wiring and I guess with all my poking and proding I knocked loose 4-5 of thos wires that were in butt connectors. I don'tknow wha goes where and its a giant f*cking mess.

I know where to find pinouts for my ECU, but is there somewhere I can find out how to rewire the car? I'm talking this wire goes from the ECU to here, here, here, here, then finally here, and how much voltage goes through it. I've done tons of googleing and can't find anything.

I just found another problem.... The black and yellow wire going to my main relay that is supposed to have 12v in run/start is not getting 12 v. I included the diagram I am using. It doesn't say where this wire comes from. Can anyone help me figure out why it's not getting power and how to fix it? Thanks.

Goes through a fuse and then to the ignition switch.
That wire also feeds the coil for spark.

Your diagram looks fine, but it doesn't show where the wire goes.
It just stops off at the top in the middle of the page.

I can't really read this. When I zoom in it gets blurry. I also tryied saving it to copmputer and it is too blurry. Is there a way you can send to me in a better quality or a link where you got it?

nope =/
I simply dug that up on the internet a long time ago.

Best bet would be to get the Helms or a Honda Service manual.
They are invaluable! Best $ I spent back in the day.

I'm in the military and have free access to ebscohost which is where I got that diagram. I just can't find the one you showed me. Also, I was wondering what year I should be looking at. The car is a 90 civic, but the ECM is a 92.

I checked the number 14 fuse and it was popped, which was weird because all my fuses were good a week ago. That fuse was a 20a not a 10a not sure if that matters. I changed fuse that solved my black and yellow problem I have power! and the best part was the car started!!!! As soon as i changed the fuse i turned the key, herd the fuel pump kick on, started the car and it ran. I kept it on for a little then it died a few minutes later. Now I'm back to the pump not kicking on. I do have power to the black and yellow wire.

I found a short in the pump wire though. I disconnected the wire harness under back seat going to fuel pump. The relay half that goes to the front of the car does not have a short, but the wire that goes to the fuel pump has a dead short to ground. I guess I need to drop my tank again.
