Default checking the BS radar

So i have a buddy who is in LOVE with his f23a1 powered car.....
Tells me hes see dyno sheets of a f23a1 NA motor putting down 380 whp.... i find this VERY hard to swallow. From what I've been told it has k24 pistons in it, stock crank and block. Everything else is unknown.

If the crank and rods are stock that just leaves the cam and head. His numbers are doubtful with NA.

380whp N/A F23A1 with only a bump in compression, Not going to happen.

380whp boosted F23A1 sure!

I agree that build is a realistic template to reach 300+ N/A in an F series. It takes a wee bit more than 86mm pistons and some head work to hit 300whp N/A.

Yep, I'd wager that's what the friend is referencing though - one of Bisi's (or similar) builds.

It is very possible to build an NA engine to produce that kind of horse power, however it will take much more than just a simple build and would not be suitable for a streetable vehicle.

Just like Bisimoto Pro All Motor F22 engine, which produce upwards to 415+whp It required increase in stroke, sleeved block with large bore custom forged pistons with an extreme compression of near 17:1 for the bottom end.

Top end received custom CNC head porting with oversized valves, custom camshaft and rocker arm assembly. Not to mention countless supporting components such as custom Bisimoto spec. ITB's, custom Bisimoto header, dry sump oiling system and AEM engine management with AEM ignition parts to match.

A much more realistic F-series street/strip build would be around 250-275whp with proper internal modifications, supporting parts (intake and exhaust), and tuning.
